Peaceful Islamic and Mughal Invasion Of India

They say truth shall set you free… so here’s the truth

It’s the truth about the Islamic Invasion of india (from the works of Islamic Historians themselves) as to how peaceful that invasion was ( ? )

If you are marxist historian (or a pseudo secularist) who chanced upon my page..i welcome you with a caution ..don’t throw adhominems against me in your comments as they may get deleted.

But i encourage you to refute any portion of this post with logic, reason or facts.

Happy learninging 🙂

Let’s examine a piece* of peaceful Islamic Ghazis (other than the moghuls) first.

*Mahmud of Ghazni & Allaudin Khilji

Translated from the Persian Version of the Contemporary Arabic Chronicle of

The Kitab-i-Yamini of Al Utbi, chpt. 61

“…the Sultán (*Mahmud) thought good then to design this conquest, that thus the standard of Islám might be exalted by victory, and the figures of idols might be inverted by success in war. Accordingly he marched towards Táníshar(*Thanesar) with an army which had been educated in the chamber of the sacred war, and been trained by grace from on high, and contracted friendship with sword and spear, and obtained an acquaintance with infidel’s blood ..”

“The army spilt so much blood that the water of that river was so full, and that stream so abundantly stained with gore, that it could not be used for purification and was forbidden to drinkers ..”

“-all through the blessing which is upon Islám, and the wondrous religion of Muhammád, unto which by the kind promise of Heaven victory is pledged, and for the manifestation of whose sayings, the standard of the glorious Kurán speaks plainly, “He unto whom He sent his Apostle to guide him, and the faith of truth to lighten all to religion, even although the idolaters hate it.”— Kuran.

(Treasures of Victory)

Professor of History, Muslim University, Aligarh

The Khaza’inul Futuh (Treasures of Victory), chpt. 13

“Round the temple of Somnath, which is the centre of Hindu worship, he drew a circle with his troops, and planted his Khatai spear so high towards the centre that its sharp point almost pierced the sky. The banner of Islam was elevated to the equator, while every arch emerging from the two semi-circles, into which the army was divided, without fail passed its arrow through the black dot of infidelity. So the temple of Somnath was made to bow towards the Holy Mecca; and as the temple lowered its head and jumped into the sea, you may say that the building first said its prayers and then had a bath.”

The idols, who had fixed their abode midway to the House of Abraham (Mecca), and there waylaid stragglers, were broken to pieces in pursuance of Abraham’s tradition .”

But one idol, the greatest of them all, was sent by the maliks to the Imperial Court, so that the breaking of their helpless god may be demonstrated to the idol-worshipping Hindus.”

“Such a pagan country, the Mecca of the infidels, now became the Medina of Islam.”

“The robust-hearted true believers rigorously broke all idols and temples wherever they found them.”

“even the idols by their breaking affirmed the existence of God.”

(Wait a second! Isn’t this Amir Khusrau(the author of this chronicle) treated EVEN TODAY as a peaceful sufi and symbol of hindu-muslim brotherhood !! )

Read futher how this ‘ sufi ‘ documents the peaceful takeover of hindu brothers temples and forts by Islamic Brothers:

“In a single campaign Rantambhor was conquered, and by the decree of Providence the land of infidelity became the land of Islam.”

“After the nauruz, the Sun of Justice (the Sul?an) shone full on the Rantambhor hill and every day its heat and light increased, * till finally the lofty fort, which drew its water-supply from the azure sky, became a desert from lack of vegetation and water. The world seemed smaller to the Rai (of Rantambhor) than the prison within a rose-bud. So in his desperation one night he lighted a high fire, which rose like a mountain-tulip on the hill, and threw into it the rosy-coloured young maidens, who had grown up in his arms. After he had personally despatched to hell these deserving inmates of paradise, he came to the head of the pa shib with one or two other unbelievers, bent on sacrificing his life with honour.

(* And you thought ‘Sati’ was a National Hindu passtime! It was sad choiceless decision the Rai had to take to avoid his daughters and wives being raped and then sold as slaves for money or kept as concubines)

“The title of the ‘Place of Islam’ was sent from heaven for this house of infidelity. The inhabited parts of Jhabun, that old land of paganism, became the ‘New City’ of the true believers. The great Imperial banner stood over the iron fort like a key in a lock; for it was the key for the conquest of southern lands. First the temple of Bahir Deo, the support of which he had invoked, was destroyed. Then the houses of infidelity were overthrown by the strong arm of the holy warriors. Many strongly built temples, which the trumpet of the Day of Judgment could not have shaken, went to sleep on the ground as the morning breeze of Islam blew upon them. The stones of the infidel fort had grown deaf from hearing the Hindu conches; but now they re-echoed the (Muslim) call for prayer. Where formerly the loud pealing of the Brahman’s kettles had torn the ears of the Hindus, now the sound of the Prophet’s Khutba filled true believing ears with a melodious joy

(* great love of hindu beliefs by a peaceful ‘sufi ‘ ! )

Now lets see how great & peaceful the Moghuls* were !

*Timur lung, Great Akbar, Peaceful Babur,Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb,Jahangir (covered in detail because Marxist & pseudo-secular historians of india had pushed this thought into our textbooks and political understanding that the Moghuls were peace loving and not antagonostic to hindus)

The History of my expedition against Hindustan.

About this time there arose in my heart the desire to lead an expedition against the infidels, and to become a ghází; for it had reached my ears that the slayer of infidels is a ghází, and if he is slain he becomes a martyr. It was on this account that I formed this resolution, but I was undetermined in my mind whether I should direct my expedition against the infidels of China or against the infidels and polytheists of India. In this matter I sought an omen from the Kurán *, and the verse I opened upon was this, “O Prophet, make war upon infidels and unbelievers, and treat them with severity.”

(* So you see from where the peaceful guidance flows )

Timur’s loot and plundering is known to all i’ll spare the details of this guy. Now let’s move on to the other mughals

The Memoirs of Babur, Volume 2, chpt. 65

“For love of the Faith I became a wanderer in the desert,

I became the antagonist of Pagans and Hindus,

I strove to make myself a martyr;—

Thanks be to the Almighty who has made me a Ghazi (victorious over the enemies of the Faith).

Volume 2, chpt. 69

“Having returned from my visit to Sikri on Monday, the 14th of the first Rabi, I set out, in pursuance of a vow, on a holy war against Chanderi

Volume2, chpt. 70
On the top of a hill, to the north-west of Chanderi, I erected a tower of the heads of the pagans. The words Fateh dar-ul-harb *(the conquest of the city hostile to the faith) were found to contain the date of its conquest.”

* Remember Subranian Swami’s appeal to Muslim Ulema to get India cleared from the list of countries that EVEN TODAY are considered Dar-ul-harb by the Muslim Brotherhood? and guess what ..THEY REFUSED !

Volume I

Volume 1, chpt. 250

When Akbar, in Çafar 965, marched to Dihlí, he appointed H. Kh. Governor of the Panjáb. During his incumbency, he shewed himself a zealous Sunní.As the Christians did with the Jews, he ordered the Hindús as unbelievers to wear a patch (Hind. tukrá) near the shoulders, and thus got the nickname of Tukriyah, ‘Patcher.’

He(Guru Arjun Dev Ji) behaved to Khusrau in certain special ways, and made on his forehead a fingermark in saffron, which the Indians (Hindu wan) call qashqa and is considered propitious. When this came to my ears and I clearly understood his folly, I ordered them to produce him and handed over his houses, dwelling-places, and children to Murtaza Khan, and having confiscated his property commanded that he should be put to death

I went to see that temple. I found a form cut out of black stone, which from the neck above was in the shape of a pig’s head, and the rest of the body was like that of a man. The worthless religion of the Hindus is this, that once on a time for some particular object the Supreme Ruler thought it necessary to show himself in this shape ; on this account they hold it dear and worship it. I ordered them to break that hideous form and throw it into the tank

BÁDSHÁH-NÁMA (* Shah Jahan )

Destruction of Hindu Temples

It had been brought to the notice of His Majesty that during the late reign many idol temples had been begun, but remained unfinished, at Benares, the great stronghold of infidelity. The infidels were now desirous of completing them. His Majesty, the defender of the faith, gave orders that at Benares, and throughout all his dominions in every place, all temples that had been begun should be cast down. It was now reported from the province of Allahábád that seventy-six temples had been destroyed in the district of Benares.

(English translation of AHKAM-I-ALAMGIRI ascribed

to Hamid-ud-din Khan Bahadur)

Page 11

In April, 1669 he ordered the provincial governors to “destroy all the temples and schools of the infidels and to utterly put down their teachings and religious practices.” The wandering Hindu saint Uddhav Bairagi was confined in the police lock-up. The Vishwanath temple at Benares was pulled down in August 1669. The grandest shrine of Mathura, Kesav Rai’s temple, built at a cost of 33 lakhs of Rupees by the Bundela Rajah Birsingh Dev, was razed to the ground in January, 1670, and a mosque built on its site. “The idols of this temple were brought to Agra and buried under the steps of Jahanara’s mosque that they might be constantly trodden on” by the Muslims going in to pray. About this time the temple of Somnath on the south coast of the Kathiawar peninsula was demolished, and the offering of worship there ordered to be stopped. The smaller religious buildings that suffered havoc were beyond count. The Rajput War of 1679-80 was accompanied by the destruction of 240 temples in Mewar alone, including the famous one of Someshwar and three grand ones at Udaipur. In the loyal State of Jaipur 67 temples were demolished

After moving about almost every year between Bijapur in the south and the Manjira river in the north, Aurangzib (2Tst May, 1695) finally made Brahmapuri on the Bhima river, east of Pandharpur, his Base Camp, and named it Islampuri

BUT WHEN IN HIS WEAKER YEARS when he had no money for repairing forts

Ruhullah Khan II, (whose name was Mir Hasan), petitioned the Emperor, “The fort of Islampuri is weak and your Majesty will soon march [to it]. It requires repair. What order on this point ?”

The Emperor wrote, ” God pardon us ! God pardon us ! it was improper for you to write the word ‘Islampuri’ in a context speaking of ‘weakness.’ Its old name was Barhampuri, which you ought to have used. ” ]]

By the way, if you are still confused(being a psedu-secularist or marxist historian) ..heed to the last words of your venerated  Shah Jahan himself who ironically realized the value of the practices and way of life of the infidels when he was at the receiving end of the cruelties of his son aurangzeb
‘My son, my hero ! (verses)

Why should I complain of the unkindness of Fortune,

Seemg that not a leaf is shed by a tree without God’s will ?

Only yesterday I was the master of nine hundred thousand troopers, and to-day I am in need of a pitcher of water! (verses)

Praised be the Hindus in all cases,

As they ever offer water to their dead.

And thou, my son, art a marvellous Musalman,

As thou causest me in life to lament for (lack of) water !

–Thank You—

Hindu Hinduism Foreign Words and the missionary Babble

The common rhetoric that Hinduism and Hindu are foreign words

In many of my debates with alleged atheists and proselytizers, I come across this argument that

1.The word Hindu is of foreign origin and hence we must call our faith by a different name.

2. Hinduism was not an umbrella faith until the British attempted the feat. (citing the fact that the British added the -ism to the already known term Hindu in the 18th century)

let us examine these arguments in the wake of historical and archaeological evidences.

Let’s first bust argument number 1.

Many Christians don’t know that Christianity got it’s name from foreigners too!

The followers of Jesus were just called disciples. It was the Romans who first called these disciples as Christians.

Don’t believe me? let’s hear it from Bible

“And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”  King James (Act: 11:26)

Now would it be any wise to say that Christianity did not exist until Romans christened it’s adherents as Christians?   ….NO!
How wise it would be for a Christian to NOW call himself/herself a Disciple instead of a Christian?  Very foolish I would say(and you would agree)

Similarly it is unwise to say that the various sects within the fold of  Hinduism did not exist before the coinage of the term.

Nor is it wise to hunt for a new umbrella term (By the way, the other more appropriate name : Sanatana Dharma is known to many Hindus but not a popular term).

Now let’s examine argument number 2

(This argument has started surfacing after the biased representation of Hinduism on Encyclopaedia Britannica’s site. The article on Hinduism has been written by the controversial Dr. Wendy Doniger who is ill famous for applying the unscientific psycho analysis methods to Hindu Scriptures so that erotica to could be extracted out of them. She refuses to get psychoanalyzed herself! To know how biased Encyclopaedia Britannica has been against Hinduism this brilliant case exposing the same by Mr. Amit Raj Dhawan )

Any ways, the cartel of Wendy Donigers and Michael Witzels are getting exposed in the academia and scholarly circles and they would end up as missionary Max Mullers in the annals of let them face their karma.

We can rather easily bust this argument #2 with historical and archeological evidences itself.

If the claim is that British (who came in the 17th century) organized the various sects within Hinduism, How come
Al Beruni (1030 AD) documents this collective place of worship ?

Alberuni’s India. An account of the religion, philosophy, literature, geography, chronology, astronomy, customs, laws and astrology of India about A.D. 1030″

“Rama gave very long and tedious instructions. Further, he ordered that servants and priests to minister to the idols should be nominated from different classes of the people. “To the idol of Vishnu are devoted the class called Bhagavata ; to the idol of the Sun, the Maga, i.e. the Magians ; to the idol of Mahadeva, a class of saints, anchorites with long hair, who cover their skin with ashes, hang on their persons the bones of dead people, and swim in the pools. The Brahmana are devoted to the Eight Mothers, the Shamanians to Buddha, to Arhant the class called Nagna. On the whole, to each idol certain people are devoted who constructed it, for those know best how to serve it.”

This clearly shows that the various sects within the fold of Hinduism were not only organized but co-existed in peaceful harmony at least 700 years before the British invasion

The ellora caves , elephanta caves and the various southeast Asian temples (Indonesia,Thailand,Malaysia) (5th century onwards ) are standing testimony to the existence and spread of various Hindu Deities across south Asia and south east Asia ..even before the whole of Europe converted to Christianity (6th century)

Are Encyclopaedia References Sacrosanct

The learned one’s will please excuse this post.

But you would be surprised to know that some people out there swear by the sanctity of encyclopaedia content.

This post is specifically to dispel the myth that encyclopaedia references can be treated as final in serious discussions.

1. Do encyclopedias contain errors?

Unfortunately ..YES!

Read this study report supplement by Nature on the errors discovered in the two most referenced/accessed encyclopedias : Encyclopaedia Britannica ( EB) & Wikipedia (WP)

Jimmy Wales’ Wikipedia comes close to Britannica in terms of the accuracy of its science entries, a Nature investigation finds

For every 3 errors in EB , WP has 4. NONE IS ERROR FREE!

2.Isn’t it cynical to believe that an Encyclopaedia that has Nobel laureates on board would contain any errors?

Sorry friend, Nobel laureates are no guarantors of accuracy of content beyond their respective domains!
